Alexandra Dovgan: An Ambitious Young Pianist
The talented Russian pianist Alexandra Dovgan gave an impressive recital at the Palau de la Música last May 8. At just seventeen, he demonstrated impeccable technique, exceptional talent and great musical sensitivity. His program included challenging works by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Scriabin.

Crystal Sharpness and Absolute Precision
One of Dovgan’s strengths is his ability to play notes with crystal clarity. His interpretation of Partita no. Bach’s 6 in E minor was flawless, with absolute clarity and precision in every note. In his hands, the voices of the different parts of the work stood out clearly. In the second part of the recital, Dovgan performed works by Rachmaninov and Scriabin. In these pieces, he showed great expressiveness and passionate passion.
