A Brilliant Young Pianist Who Dazzles the Audience

Alexandra Dovgan: An Ambitious Young Pianist

The talented Russian pianist Alexandra Dovgan gave an impressive recital at the Palau de la Música last May 8. At just seventeen, he demonstrated impeccable technique, exceptional talent and great musical sensitivity. His program included challenging works by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninov and Scriabin.

An Unmatched Passion for the Piano

Alexandra Dovgan is a young woman devoted body and soul to the piano. His passion is evident in every note he plays. His dexterity, concentration and dedication to the keyboard are impressive. As a performer, Dovgan showed two different sides during the recital. In the first part, with Bach and Beethoven, he demonstrated exceptional technical ability. In the second part, with the Russian repertoire of Rachmaninov and Scriabin, he showed passionate passion.

Crystal Sharpness and Absolute Precision

One of Dovgan’s strengths is his ability to play notes with crystal clarity. His interpretation of Partita no. Bach’s 6 in E minor was flawless, with absolute clarity and precision in every note. In his hands, the voices of the different parts of the work stood out clearly. In addition, his performance of Beethoven was technically brilliant, although some critics found a certain lack of imagination in his performance.

A Passionate Expressiveness

In the second part of the recital, Dovgan performed works by Rachmaninov and Scriabin. In these pieces, he showed great expressiveness and passionate passion. Its sound was open, expansive and rich in harmonics. Rachmaninov’s Variations on a Theme of Corelli were majestic and Dovgan demonstrated great interpretative imagination in each of the twenty variations. His interpretation of the Sonata no. 2 in G-sharp minor by Scriabin was the perfect colophon of the recital, with a style full of strength and detail.
