The chapel of the Misericordia Cultural Center will be the setting for a theatrical play that will not leave anyone indifferent. ‘Apassionant’ is a work that transports us to the story of the Passion of Jesus Christ, but with an updated and innovative perspective. This work combines different artistic languages ​​such as theatre, photography and music, creating a unique experience for viewers.

A work with a deep message

The work ‘Exciting’ invites us to reflect on the Passion of Jesus Christ and its meaning in our current lives. Through nine characters played by eight actors, the play shows us different key moments of the Passion, from the arrival in Jerusalem to the resurrection of Jesus. This representation invites us to connect with the emotions and values ​​transmitted by the story of Jesus Christ.

A work with great cultural wealth

The Pinyol Vermell group, created 16 years ago, will be in charge of carrying out this very special work. The aim of this group is to disseminate popular culture, especially in the area of ​​clothing and traditional music. In addition, the work ‘Exciting’ will allow us to admire pieces of clothing from the 18th century that will dress the characters of Jesus, Mary, Mary Magdalene and Judas, among others.

The work ‘Apassionant’ will be performed on Saturday, March 23 in the Misericordia chapel. There will be two shifts: at 11 a.m. and at 5 p.m. Entry is free, but you must register in advance by sending an email to culturamallorca@conselldemallorca.net. The Misericordia chapel, a reopened cultural space

The chapel of Mercy, located in the Cultural Center, was reopened a few months ago after being closed for two years. This majestic space has become one of the building’s exhibition spaces and offers cultural proposals to the public. The vice-president of the Mallorca Council and Minister of Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, highlights the importance of opening the spaces of the Misericòrdia to the public and turning the building into a true cultural centre.
