Carrer de la Passion de Manlleu celebrates the festivities of Sant Roc

Manlleu pays tribute to Sant Roc

Carrer de la Passion de Manlleu celebrates the festivities of Sant Roc in honor of its patron Saint Roc. This tradition has been carried out for 23 years during the month of August. The organization of these popular festivals is driven by a committee of excited residents.

Changes in the date of the party

This year, the Sant Roc festivities in Carrer de la Passió de Manlleu have been delayed until this last weekend in August. This was done to ensure the participation of the residents, as many people are usually on holiday during August 16, Saint Roc’s Day.

Festival programming

The party starts on Friday with the decoration of the street from 5 pm. Then, the rosary and proclamation are made, which this year will be in charge of Carolina Surinyach. To end the first day of the festival, a popular sardine will be held.

Saturday will be dedicated to baby games, which this year will be inspired by the Olympic Games. There will also be a popular dinner and dance. The neighborhood committee that organizes the festivities is very excited and is already thinking about the 25th anniversary celebrations next year.

On Sunday, the Sant Roc festivities in Carrer de la Passion will emphasize gastronomy. There will be a rice bowl at noon and a chocolate bar from 7 p.m.
