Dacia Jogger Hybrid: The affordable and spacious family SUV

Dacia’s challenge to the family car market

Dacia has surprised the European family car market with the launch of the Dacia Jogger Hybrid. This vehicle, available in five or seven-seat versions, has come to revolutionize the minivan segment, which has been losing ground to SUVs. In addition, its adjusted price puts other low-cost hybrid models, such as those from MG, in trouble.

The most affordable family hybrid car

The Dacia Jogger stands out as the most affordable hybrid family car currently available. Its main feature is the combination of a spacious interior with up to seven seats and the efficiency of a hybrid engine. This unique combination is found exclusively in Dacia’s range of affordable vehicles, and is now available fully equipped at a truly attractive price. Even the most equipped version, which would normally cost over 30,000 euros for other brands, is available at a very competitive price. It also has the coveted ECO label from the DGT.

Extensive configuration options

The Dacia Jogger range is organized into four levels: Essential, Expression, Extreme and Extreme Go. Although the seven-seater hybrid version is only available in the first two levels. The version associated with the Extreme finish stands out especially, which includes seven seats and is fully equipped to satisfy the needs of the entire family.

Featured equipment

The Dacia Jogger Hybrid Extreme has outstanding equipment that includes multiple airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, automatic lighting and rain sensor, modular roof bars, over-tinted rear windows, exterior rear-view mirrors electrically adjustable and heated, among other technological and comfort details.

Power and efficiency

The Dacia Jogger Hybrid uses a self-charging hybrid powertrain (HEV) consisting of a 1.6-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and two electric motors, which together deliver a power output of 140 hp. This combination is managed by a multi-mode automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 10 seconds and a top speed of 167 km/h. In addition, thanks to its 1.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, it can run in fully electric mode in certain conditions, with an average fuel consumption of 4.9 litres per 100 kilometres and CO2 emissions of 107 g/km according to the WLTP cycle.

Competitive price

The price of the Dacia Jogger Hybrid is another of its strong points. With a cash value of 27,600 euros, it is positioned as an extremely competitive option in its segment and one of the smartest purchases.
