Dusminguet, the group celebrating the 30th anniversary of Cafeteria Slàvia

Dusminguet gathers for a special concert

Dusminguet, the group formed by Joan Garriga, Martí Vilardebò and Dani Portavella, will meet again next June 22 for a special concert. This concert will serve to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Cafeteria Slàvia de les Borges Blanques. The organizers have explained that they want to support the people responsible for Slavia and all that this cultural trench means. Dusminguet is one of the most influential groups in popular culture of the late 90s and early 2000s. The group announced that they were disbanding in January 2004.

The farewell concert they never got to do

This unique performance by the group from la Garriga will take place in the surroundings of Parc el Terrall de les Borges Blanques, next to Cafè Slàvia. The doors will open at 8 p.m., and at 9 p.m. the band La Catxibanda will perform. At 11 pm it will be Dusminguet’s turn, and the night will end with the Ponents Roots DJs, who will bring a suitcase full of vinyl with the best danceable rhythms, reggae, Latin, funk and lots of festive music. There will also be seven food trucks located near the stage.

The union between Cafeteria Slàvia and Dusminguet

For 30 years, Slàvia has organized more than 2,000 concerts by relevant artists such as Manu Chao, Oques Grasses, Ferran Palau, Paco Ibánez, Pau Riba or Marina Rossell. This cafe has been an independent cultural space and has not received any subsidy. Dusminguet announced his retirement in January 2004 after ten years of career, three albums and hundreds of concerts around the world. His last concert was on November 1 in Balaguer.
