Life goes by too fast and Irene Urdangarin’s next birthday is close

A young woman looking for her way

Irene Urdangarin is about to celebrate her 19th birthday, and although her adult life is just beginning, she has already had intense experiences. However, it was not because of her dedication to work or studies, but because of her carefree and scandalous attitude.

Instead of following her plans to train at a prestigious hospitality school in Lausanne, Irene decided to take a gap year. Although this decision is nothing out of the ordinary for her siblings and cousins, she had two goals in mind: get her driver’s license and do volunteer work in Cambodia.

Although she fulfilled her experience as a volunteer in Cambodia, the images that came from Southeast Asia did not show a very deep commitment on Irene’s part. It seems that her mind was somewhere else, especially in Madrid.

A scandalous love

When Irene left Geneva and moved to Zarzuela with her grandmother in order to obtain her driver’s license, the public did not know the real reason behind her decision to live in Madrid. And no, it wasn’t just about partying with his beloved Victoria Federica, who taught him tactics in unknown terrain.

It turns out that Irene had a boyfriend, the first in her life. Although she had known him since she was little, she had never seen him with the same eyes as she did now, at 18 years old. However, this relationship is not conventional, since it involves her cousin Juan Urquijo, a descendant of the Bourbons, as well as her sister Teresa de ella, who is married to the mayor of Madrid.

The magazine ‘Hello!’ revealed this relationship on its cover, taking advantage of the hangover from Teresa’s wedding, and this has caused a lot of shame and anger in the royal family. Although Cristina, Irene’s mother, does not accept this relationship and does not want her daughter to be the center of attention, Irene remains in contact with Juan despite the 10,000 kilometers that separate them.

An uncertain future

Irene has decided to follow her own path and not listen to her mother’s opinions. She now plans to study ‘event organization’ in London, although it is not a university degree. This decision has been another blow for Cristina, who sees how her daughter is getting closer and closer to the world of her cousin Victoria while she lives a scandalous romance with her cousin Juanito.

Irene is determined to live her life to the fullest and get away from the restrictions of the royal family. Although her mother does not agree with her decisions, Irene moves forward with her relationship and her future plans. Only time will tell what fate has in store for this young royal rebel.
