Mercadona makes a surprising decision
If you’re a Mercadona customer, you should know that this June you won’t be able to find some of their most successful products. The supermarket has taken this decision to make way for other novelties.
The measure, although it has surprised many of the regular consumers of the chain, has already taken effect. For this reason, you need to know which items you will not be able to continue buying.
The withdrawn products
These are the 4 products that Mercadona has withdrawn:
Vichyssoise
A star product that Mercadona has withdrawn from its stores is vichyssoise cream. This is a ready-to-eat option made with leeks that just needs to be heated.
From the store, they confirmed that it is no longer there, but added: “As an alternative, we can offer you the artichoke cream.”
Band kit
Another product that Mercadona has withdrawn these days is the kit of chicken strips and vegetables. The tray also included some spicy spices to have the dish ready in just a few minutes.
Also via X, the chain said: “We are sorry to inform you that we no longer carry this in our assortment. We can offer you the frozen strip filling instead.”
Salsa cheddar
Mercadona’s cheddar sauce is another product you won’t find on their shelves anymore. On its official account, the company has announced that this delicacy, special for hamburger lovers, is withdrawn.
An X user did not hesitate to contact the supermarket to find out what has happened to this option: “Hello Mercadona. Where is the cheddar cheese sauce?”.
The chain responded with the following: “We are sorry to tell you that it is no longer available. We are passing on your interest to those responsible so that they can take it into account.”
Petit Blu cheese
Finally, the chain has also withdrawn Bergader’s Petit Blu cheese. It is a pasteurized cow’s milk cheese from the Bavarian Alps that had been a great success.
Again, the product is no longer available on the Mercadona shelf. However, given the responses of the supermarket, they may soon surprise us with other similar novelties.
