Context of the crime
In a tragic event that occurred in Totana, Murcia, a 14-year-old minor is being investigated for the alleged murder of his father. According to police sources, the teenager would have stabbed his parent during a family fight in which the adult would have become violent towards his mother.
The incident took place last Thursday, June 20, at the Totana-Norte health center, when a 53-year-old man, identified as JoaquÃn U.M., arrived with stab wounds to his abdomen and arms. Despite being transferred to the Rafael Méndez hospital in Lorca, he unfortunately died.
Detention and release of the adolescent
The teenager’s arrest took place on Tuesday, June 25, and he was subsequently released after being taken to the offices of the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office in the City of Justice of Murcia.
Another crime in Librilla
In a related event, in the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday, a 36-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her father and left her mother seriously injured in Librilla, a municipality near Totana. The deceased man, 66 years old, was identified as Emilio P.G., while the suspect of committing the crime responds to the initials E.P.D. Her mother, 64, is injured.
