A decade ago, on May 19, 2014, marked a milestone in the history of Spain with the proclamation of Felipe VI as king, succeeding his father, King Juan Carlos I, who abdicated. This day has been remembered on his tenth anniversary with the meeting of the Royal Family in Madrid to commemorate it.

The commemorative events did not end that day, since the following day the exhibition “Philip VI: a decade in the history of the Crown of Spain” was inaugurated at the Royal Palace of Madrid, organized by National Heritage.
