Sant Feliu En Comú Podemos denies being against the CUAP despite the rejection of the budgets of the Generalitat de Catalunya

Sant Feliu En Comú Podemos clarifies its position on the CUAP

Sant Feliu En Comú Podem, a local political party, wanted to deny the accusations that link them with a position contrary to the Center d’Urgèncias d’Atenció Primària (CUAP) despite their rejection of the budgets of the Generalitat de Catalunya. This clarification was made during a press conference in which deputy David Cid visited the CAP Rambla accompanied by the leader of Sant Feliu En Comú Podem, Lídia Muñoz.

The relocation of the CAP Rambla and the construction of the new CUAP

In December 2021, the construction of a new Primary Care Emergency Center (CUAP) was announced in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, where the CAP Rambla would move. This decision was included in the budgets agreed between the Government of the Generalitat and the Commons in Parliament. According to MP David Cid, this deal was already decided and budgeted from 2022, and they do not understand why it is now being talked about as a recent success.

The rejection of the budgets of the Generalitat

Deputy David Cid justified the refusal of the Commons to the budgets of the Generalitat arguing that the current priorities are housing, health and public education. In addition, he expressed his opposition to the macro projects proposed by the PSC, such as a casino, the expansion of the Vallès motorway or the Prat airport. He also stated that the budgets presented by ERC were not very ambitious in the field of health, especially with regard to Sant Feliu de Llobregat.

The leader of Sant Feliu En Comú Podemos denounces the accusations of the PSC

Lídia Muñoz, leader of Sant Feliu En Comú Podem, denounced that the PSC continues to lie about the city’s situation in different areas. He recalled that they already did it in November, when the government team warned of a possible intervention by the City Council. However, Muñoz assured that the economic situation of the City Council is sound and criticized the Socialists for accusing them of being against the CUAP due to their negative vote on this year’s budgets.

The transfer of land and the defense of public health

Muñoz explained that the transfer of the land for the construction of the new CUAP could have been approved in April 2023, but was rejected with the vote against the opposition, especially the PSC. According to Muñoz, if it had been approved at that time, the project would already be more advanced. The Commons claim the defense of public health in Sant Feliu and urge the municipal government to take the necessary decisions to govern the city.

conclusion

Sant Feliu En Comú Podemos wanted to clarify its position on the CUAP and deny the accusations of being against this health center. They recalled that the agreement for the transfer of the CAP Rambla and the construction of the new CUAP had already been decided and budgeted for from 2022. In addition, they justified their refusal of the Generalitat’s budgets by arguing that the current priorities are housing, health and public education. They have also denounced the accusations of the PSC and have claimed the defense of public health in Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
