Seikos, a music band that says goodbye to the stage

An emotional farewell

After ten years dedicated to music, the Sant Feliuen band Seikos has announced that their last concert will be on Saturday, May 11 at the ButifarraSound festival. Through a video published on social networks, the band has communicated to all its followers that it is time to say goodbye to the stage.

Seikos was born in 2014 in Sant Feliu, when a group of teenagers with a shared passion for music met to play in the Casal de Joves rehearsal rooms. Over time, the band’s project was consolidated and they began to perform in different places in the territory. His first concert was in Plaça Lluís Companys during the night of Sant Joan in 2015. Since then, Seikos has continued to make music and has managed to become professional with the release of his studio albums.

A musical journey

The band from Sant Feliuen has released three albums throughout their career. The first, titled “Strictly Personal”, was released in 2016 and marked Seikos’ recording debut. After this first success, they continued to work and released the albums “Viaje al Centro” in 2019 and “Estival” in 2022.

According to Asier Garcia, the group’s guitarist, Seikos is a group of friends who have been making music for ten years. The opportunity to play on the night of San Juan was a special moment for them and now, closing this stage, they want to offer their fans a memorable concert. The show will be longer than they usually do and will include songs they haven’t performed in a while. In addition, there will be special collaborations that will make this concert a unique experience.

A farewell to the stage

The ButifarraSound festival will be the stage where Seikos will put an end to his musical career. This festival is special for the band as it is one of the first places they performed. It will be the third time that Seikos participates in this musical event. The band is excited to close this stage in such a meaningful place for them.

Seikos has left a musical legacy in Sant Feliu and throughout the territory. With a musical evolution that goes from reggae and ska to pop-rock, their songs have been influenced by other reference bands. The first album was influenced by groups like La Raíz, La Gossa Sorda and Obrint Pas, while the latest works have a more pop-rock touch like Oques Grasses.

The band is made up of Yon Iriarte (vocals), Roger Clemente (vocals), Asier García (guitar), Arnau Rius (bass), Neus Aranda (trumpet), Enric Ramón (tenor sax), Guillem Salles (drums) and Edu Núñez (keyboards). After ten years of music, Seikos says goodbye to the stage, but his musical legacy will live on in the memory of his fans.
