A decade of music and concerts
After ten years of making music, thirty songs and eighty concerts all over the country, Seikos says goodbye to the stage. The band from Sant Feliuen has announced that their last concert will take place on Saturday 11 May at the ButifarraSound festival, as they have shared through a video on social networks.
The beginnings and evolution of Seikos
In 2014, a group was born in Sant Feliu made up of teenagers who shared a passion for music. They met on Friday afternoons to play at the Casal de Joves rehearsals. Over time, the Seikos project began to take shape and they performed for the first time in Plaça Lluís Companys on the night of Sant Joan in 2015. Since that moment, the band from Sant Feliuen has continued to offer concerts in different places of the territory and has become professional with the release of his studio albums.
The first album, titled “Strictly Personal”, was released in 2016. Seikos then released his second album, “Viaje al Centro”, in 2019, and his third album, “Estival”, in 2022.
An emotional farewell
According to Asier Garcia, the group’s guitarist, the CAU gave them the opportunity to play that night of Sant Joan and thus close a stage with the people who trusted them from the beginning in their city. Garcia explained that the show will be longer than usual and that they will recover songs that they have not performed for a long time. He has also advanced that some surprises and special collaborations are being prepared for an apotheosis concert.
Highlights and musical influences
In addition to their last concert, the members of Seikos remember some important moments of the past years, such as the presentation of the album “Viaje al Centro” at La Nau in Barcelona and the concert at ButifarraSound in 2018, where they saw the Lluís Companys Square full absolutely crowded. Seikos’ music has evolved from reggae and ska to pop-rock, and their songs have been influenced by other prominent bands of the time.
The group is made up of Yon Iriarte (vocals), Roger Clemente (vocals), Asier García (guitar), Arnau Rius (bass), Neus Aranda (trumpet), Enric Ramón (tenor sax), Guillem Salles (drums) and Edu Núñez (keyboards). Their last concert will be a return to their beginnings, as they will perform in one of the first stages where they played. This will be the third time that the band from Sant Feliuen participates in the ButifarraSound festival.
A farewell with thanks
Seikos, a band that has been making music for ten years, thanks all their fans and friends for the support and love received throughout their career. With their last concert, they want to close this stage of their musical life with an unforgettable show.
