The Consell Comarcal de la Garrotxa will allocate a subsidy of almost one million euros for the arrangement and improvement of roads
The Garrotxa Regional Council has announced that it will allocate a subsidy of almost one million euros for the arrangement and improvement of roads in different municipalities of the region. This investment aims to improve the road infrastructure and facilitate the movement of citizens.
Public subsidies
Most of this subsidy, specifically 523,500 euros, comes from the Department of Territory. In addition, there are other grants that will contribute to this investment, such as a grant of 100,000 euros from Climate Action and 120,000 euros from the County Council’s own funds.
Outstanding performances
The most important actions will take place in the Vall d’en Bas, where almost 211,000 euros will be allocated for the arrangement and improvement of a path that goes to Vidrà. 140,000 euros will also be allocated to the improvement of the Sant Ferriol road and 130,000 euros to the Rourevell road between Argelaguer and Tortellà. Other roads that will receive investment are the access road to Cogolls from the Planes d’Hostoles, with 130,000 euros, and the road from Can Solei to Can Traver between Beuda and Maià, with 101,000 euros.
Other actions and improvements
In addition to the actions mentioned, the County Council’s own funds, which amount to 120,000 euros, will also be allocated to other actions in all the municipalities of the region. These resources can also be used to improve water supply networks and facilities, taking into account the severe drought situation the country is experiencing.
Approval in the plenary session of the County Council
All these games have been approved in the last plenary session of the Regional Council held last Thursday. This approval was made possible thanks to a credit modification of more than 300,000 euros. The opposition has celebrated that more resources have been allocated to the improvement of roads and water installations, although it has been claimed that this item was already included in the annual budget.
