The growing influence of the Chinese automotive industry in Europe

A new trend in the European market

It is no secret that, unlike what happened many years ago, more and more Chinese manufacturers are seeing the European market as an opportunity to expand their commercial presence. Major giants of the Chinese automotive industry, such as BYD, Saic Motors and Chery, are focusing their efforts on the European market to increase their international sales.

Chery and its strategy in Europe

Chery, for example, has chosen to offer different models through three manufacturers: OMODA, JAECOO and EXLANTIX. The first of them, OMODA, has already launched its first model in Spain, the OMODA 5, an SUV that seeks to compete with generalist brands in the compact vehicle segment, one of the most popular in our country.

But the interesting thing is that Chery has established a collaboration with Land Rover, a premium brand, to launch in Spain the first model of its second brand, JAECCO. This is the JAECCO 7, an impressive Chinese off-road vehicle that promises to compete with models from premium brands such as Mercedes, BMW and Audi.

The JAECCO 7: a high-performance all-terrain vehicle

The JAECCO 7 stands out for its imposing design and dimensions, which will surely affect sales of Land Rover models and other premium brands once this vehicle is available on the market. Although official prices are not yet known, it is estimated that the entry-level version, which will include high-quality equipment and mechanics, could have a starting price of around €40,000. This makes it an attractive option for those looking for an all-terrain vehicle with excellent performance, advanced technology, high-quality materials and the latest safety systems.

The growing influence of the Chinese automotive industry in Europe

This case is just one more example of how the Chinese automotive industry is gaining ground in Europe. With interesting and quality proposals, Chinese manufacturers are increasing their presence in the automotive market worldwide. Europe has become a strategic market for them, and they are taking this opportunity to expand their influence and compete with established brands on the continent.

In short, the Chinese automotive industry is experiencing significant growth in Europe. Manufacturers like Chery are introducing innovative and high-quality models that are capturing the attention of consumers. With their focus on the European market, these manufacturers are demonstrating their ability to compete with established brands and are changing the dynamics of the automotive industry in Europe.
