A renewed poetic work
The fourth edition (April 2024) of Putes i consentits, the poetic anthology by Antonina Canyelles, published by Lapislàtzuli Editorial, has just been launched. This edition follows the first in June 2011, the second in May 2014 and the third illustrated in February 2020. This collection includes the prologue Antonina Canyelles or the art of expression of the writer and playwright, Albert Mestres, and the reflection An image of Jon López de Viñaspre, writer and editor. Both the foreword and reflection offer a unique insight into the writer’s work, highlighting the lucidity and intelligence of her poems, as well as her ability to express ideas and facts in a way that impacts the reader. Antonina Canyelles’ poetry is forceful and direct, avoiding being “politically correct” and offering a frank and authentic vision.
International recognition and dissemination
Antonina Canyelles is recognized as one of the best living poets in the Catalan language, actively participating in poetry festivals and being the subject of literary studies. In addition, his poems have been illustrated by prestigious photographers and have been translated into several languages, such as Amazigh, French, English, Spanish and German. This international recognition highlights the universality and depth of her work, consolidating her as a prominent voice in the contemporary poetic scene.
An impressive literary legacy
The poem ‘Vaig nacer rossa’, taken from Antonina Canyelles’ Quadern de consequencias (1979), present in this anthology, reflects the strength and determination of the author from her first works. This new edition of Putes i consentits continues to spread and praise the author’s literary legacy, consolidating her as an outstanding figure in contemporary poetry.
