An important celebration for the diocesan clergy

On Monday, June 3, Bishop Sergi summoned the vast majority of the diocesan clergy for the third great Priests’ Day of the year. This day was an opportunity for all the priests of the diocese to experience a moment of communion and joy at the Seminary.

During the day, the Archbishop of Valencia, Enrique Benavent, gave an inspiring talk to the priests present. With close and masterful language, the archbishop shared the keys for a hopeful Church in the face of the difficulties it faces today.

In his talk, Archbishop Benavent emphasized the importance of detecting the signs of Christian vitality in today’s world. Despite difficulties and challenges, it is important to maintain hope and recognize the fruits of faith in the people around us.

The role of priests in evangelization

The archbishop encouraged the priests to be drivers of Synod Pastoral, opening up to new methods of evangelization and being attentive to the needs of people who seek God. He also emphasized the importance of listening to the Word of God and being preachers committed to their mission.
