The Rams de Montserrat Concert

This year, the traditional Concert de Rams de Montserrat will take place on Saturday, March 23, at 9 pm, in the Basilica of Santa Maria. This concert is an annual event that brings together a large number of people who enjoy the music and the unique atmosphere of the Basilica.

The artists and the work

The Bach Collegium Barcelona choir will be the star of this concert, accompanied by the soprano soloist Maëlys Robinne, the baritone soloist Francesc Ortega, and the Nexus Piano Duo pianists Mireia Fornells and Joan Miquel Hernández. Under the direction of Pau Jorquera, they will perform the work of Johannes Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem, op. 45, in its original version for choir, soloists and piano four hands.

Organization and support

This concert is organized by the Abbey of Montserrat, with the support of the Salvat Foundation, the social work of the Salvat Pharmaceutical Group. Entry is free and the concert can be followed live through Montserrat Ràdio and La Xarxa+, as well as La Xarxa de Comunicació Local TV from 11pm on Sunday the 24th.
