Niepoort: A benchmark in Port vins

Niepoort is a prominent figure in the world of Portuguese wines, particularly known for its Port wines. Its reputation is exceptional, especially for the ports of the best vintages. Its level of quality is unsurpassed. In addition to Port wines, Niepoort also produces white and red wines of great interest in the Douro region.

A family business with a long tradition

Niepoort is a family business of Dutch origin that has been passed down from generation to generation. Dirk van der Niepoort is currently in charge of the winery. With a traditionalist philosophy and minimal intervention, Niepoort uses quasi-organic viticulture and works with low-yielding old vines. The result is Port wines that, despite being accessible, have a distinctive character with ripe and silky tannins. Concís 2021 is a fresh and elegant white wine from the Dâo region, which reflects the full potential of granite soils.

Concís 2021 Branco wine

The grapes used to make Concís 2021 come from Quinta de Lomba, an estate with exceptionally old vines, some almost a century old. The grape varieties used are Bical, Encruzado and Malvasia, from an exceptional harvest of 2021. This wine has been aged in 500 liter oak barrels.

Wine characteristics

Concís 2021 is a wine with a delicate and enveloping aroma, with notes of white fruit, aromatic herbs, flowers and honey. Subtle notes of dried fruit and barrel smoke are also perceived. In the mouth, it has good volume and a slightly unctuous texture, with balanced acidity. The finish is long, deep and with slight barrel notes.
