A company with more than 85 years of experience
If we talk about an installation company with history, this is Burgas. It was born 85 years ago at Carrer Álvarez de Castro number 16 in Figueres, later it moved to the industrial estate of Avinyonet de Puigventós, from where it currently offers its services.
A benchmark in Alt Empordà and the province
Over the years it has become one of the companies of reference in the Alt Empordà and in the province. And in 2014, on the occasion of its 75th anniversary, the company was awarded for its professional career by the Girona Chamber of Commerce. More recently, it has received the Quality Guarantee badge awarded by the installers’ guild of Girona.
A family business
During these more than eighty years, the trade has passed through the Burgas family from generation to generation. Currently, the manager of the company is Joan Burgas i Carbó, who works together with his two sons, Nil Burgas i Descamps and Pol Burgas i Descamps, who, after completing their training, joined the company in the department electrical technician and the climate technical department, respectively.
Evolution and adaptation
One of the reasons why the company has remained a benchmark is because of its evolution and adaptation. Thus, in addition to the usual plumbing services, they have a specialized climate department to supply heating and air conditioning installations and attend to their maintenance and repairs. “In recent years, due to the search for more sustainable energy systems, we have had a great increase in the request for photovoltaic and aerothermic installations. We have been training and professionalizing this type of equipment in order to provide our customers with a service adjusted to new technologies and needs”, explain the company managers. Home automation has also been one of the recent innovations in the sector, increasingly requested for the management of lighting and air conditioning in homes, hotels and public spaces.
Committed to training
In order to contribute to the sector and promote its development, they collaborate with some institutes in the province, hosting students for practical training in different professional training courses. Otherwise, within this framework, they also cooperate in the annual Trade Fair of Figueres, which this year will take place on March 12, 13 and 14, as a reference company in the sector and contribute their knowledge and experience to the new generations of young people of the region.
