The Excitement of the Extraordinary Christmas Draw 2024!

The Christmas Lottery 2024 tickets are now available for purchase, offering a unique opportunity to participate in an extraordinary draw that will distribute prizes for a total value of 2,702 million euros. This year, 193 series of 100,000 numbers each have been issued, eight more than in the previous draw, which increases the chances of winning.

The president of State Lotteries and Betting, Jesús Huerta, has presented the summer advertising campaign for this year’s draw, highlighting that 70% of the total raised will be allocated to prizes, which represents an increase of 112 million euros in compared to the previous year.

Amazing Awards

The Extraordinary Christmas Draw offers extraordinary prizes, among which the famous Christmas ‘Gordo’, the second prize and the third prize stand out. The Christmas ‘Gordo’ will award 4,000,000 euros to the series (400,000 euros to the tenth), while the second prize will award 1,250,000 euros to the series (125,000 euros to the tenth) and the third, 500,000 euros to the series (50,000 euros per tenth). The price of the tenth remains at 20 euros, providing the opportunity to win large sums with an affordable investment.

Increase in Series and Reasons Behind

President Huerta explained that the increase in the number of series is based on a detailed analysis of sales and mathematical formulas. This analysis revealed the importance of increasing issuance to ensure that there are no missing numbers, especially in the last week before the draw. The objective is to ensure that the demand for numbers is satisfied, avoiding both excesses and shortages.

Illustrated Tenth and Tradition

The tenth of this year’s Christmas Raffle features a unique illustration, ‘The Nativity’ by Francisco and Rodrigo de Osona, a work from the Museo Nacional del Prado. This choice not only enriches the artistic aspect of the draw, but also pays tribute to the country’s rich culture.

Celebrating Tradition and Common Values

The president of State Lotteries and Betting highlighted the importance of protecting the tradition of the draw, highlighting its role as a sociocultural phenomenon that unites society around shared values. Furthermore, he stressed that the Christmas Raffle has been selected for a European project for its exemplary representation of the historical tradition of lotteries.

Legitimacy and Social Benefits

The president reaffirmed the legitimacy of the public entity, highlighting its non-profit approach and its commitment to returning all benefits to society. This position reflects the continued commitment of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado to the general well-being.
