Announcement of the Public Contest
Recently, the Commune of Ordino has opened the call for a public competition that seeks to award the management of a bar strategically located in Prat de Call Square. This initiative, published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Andorra (BOPA), invites entrepreneurs to submit their proposals before 12 noon on May 6, 2025.
Requirements and regulations for the concession
The selected candidates must register in the Register of Commerce and Industry of the Government of Andorra, an essential requirement to ensure the viability of commercial activity. The bar must mainly operate as a restaurant, with the option of including complementary activities that the concessionaire may propose.
Operation conditions
The business will have to open its doors according to the time plan submitted during the application, always in line with the current regulations on business hours. This includes specific regulations that may be issued by the Government.
Duration and extensions of the contract
The concession will have an initial validity of ten years, with the option of extending the contract automatically for additional periods of one year, up to a maximum of fifteen years. The parties involved must communicate their intention to end the agreement with a minimum of six months in advance before the expiration of the contract or their extensions.
Award criteria
The adjudication will be made through a selection process in which the Comú will evaluate the offers based on the economic conditions and the professional guarantees of the candidates. In addition, the presented business plan will be considered, as well as the investments and projects that may contribute to the revitalization of the area.
