Favorable fire prevention report
Sant Celoni City Council has received a favorable fire prevention report from the Fire Department. This report is an important step for the project of the new Home for the Elderly, which seeks to improve the facilities for the elderly in the locality.
Final approval of the executive project
With the favorable report in hand, the City Council will urgently bring the final approval of the executive project to the Plenary this Thursday. This approval is a necessary step to be able to start the tender for the works on the new equipment.
A new Old People’s Home
The new Sant Celoni Old People’s Home will have more than 1,200 m2 and will be located in the Agrarian Chamber. This equipment will respond to the current needs of the elderly, as well as the lack of multipurpose cultural spaces in the town.
A multigenerational space
The project of the new Casa de la Gent Gran de Sant Celoni aims to create a multigenerational space that can adapt to the current and future needs of the community. The current building of the Chamber of Agriculture will be preserved and enabled for the elderly, with administrative tasks on the first floor and a garden area around it.
Facilities and services
The new facility will have various facilities and services, including a meeting room, a physical activity room, a workshop, a training room, a recreational space, an administration room, a warehouse, offices, a concierge and toilets. The project execution budget is 2,217,173 euros and the works are expected to last approximately 15 months.
