Folch also highlighted the positive impact that the proliferation of e-bike use could have on the local economy, showing an encouraging outlook for the community.

In his statements, Folch has compared the cost of traveling by car to that of an electric bicycle. He pointed out that the annual cost of traveling by car ranges between 968 euros and 1,573 euros, while the same journey by electric bicycle is only 389 euros per year.
This comparison highlights the economic appeal of the electric bicycle as a sustainable and efficient means of transport.
Monthly benefits
According to the data presented, the use of the electric bicycle on the route between Manlleu and Vic can represent an average saving of 107 euros per month for the user. This amount can be used for daily expenses such as buying food or to enjoy leisure activities such as cafes, theater and local tourism.
In addition, it is estimated that if 3% of daily trips between the two cities were made by electric bicycle, this could mean a positive economic impact of 33,384 euros per month for the local economy of Manlleu and Vic.
