Manlleu, part of the consumption study of the Diputació de Barcelona

The Diputació de Barcelona has carried out a study on consumption in several towns and districts, and Manlleu has been included in this study. The aim of the analysis was to understand consumer preferences in order to improve commercial policies in the future.

Results of the study

Through 700 telephone surveys, including 20 carried out in Manlleu, the municipality’s commercial offer has received an average score of 6.47 out of 10.

Positive aspects

The opening hours, the professionalism of the traders and the lack of agglomerations were highlighted positively by the respondents in Manlleu.

Negative aspects

The prices, the lack of variety in the leisure offer and the limited presence of restaurants, cafes and bars were the most poorly rated aspects by the participants.

A relevant point is that women continue to be the main ones responsible for household purchases, making 63% of purchases within the municipality.
