Manlleu continues to reduce the number of unemployed people, although in absolute numbers, it is still above the Catalan average (12.9%) with 17.93% of unemployed people in the city. According to Betlem Parés, coordinator of Personal Services and Economic Promotion, although unemployment is still high, the downward trend is more important than the data itself. The Economic Promotion Office (OPE) of Manlleu offers services to both unemployed people and companies.
