The Pacha La Pineda nightclub: a history of nightlife

The closing of the discotheque

Pacha La Pineda nightclub closed its doors four years ago due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021, its definitive closure was confirmed, as the investment required to reopen the premises was unfeasible. This historic nightclub has recently been in the news due to images shared on social media.

The images of the interior

Marc Raja, known as Achicharreisons Urbex on social media, has uploaded some pictures of the inside of the nightclub through his Tik Tok account. These images show the state of abandonment and degradation of the facilities that, in the past, were a benchmark for nightlife on the Costa Dorada.

The future of space

Vila-seca City Council, which owns the space, wants to rethink the entire area where the nightclub is located. This area also includes the Aquopolis water park, which will remain open until there is a firm proposal for its future. The aim of the City Council is to revitalize the sea front and give it a new use for this emblematic space.
