The agreement for the Sant Cugat day hospital is a great success
The Partit dels Socialistes de Catalunya (PSC) of Sant Cugat has shown its satisfaction at the announcement of the agreement for the creation of a new day hospital. According to the PSC, this initiative represents a historic milestone for the citizens of Sant Cugat and neighboring towns.
This new health infrastructure, the result of an agreement between the town councils of several cities and the Generalitat, will make it possible to improve public health services and bring them closer to the people of Sant Cugat.
A project with a long claim
The construction project of this reference hospital began more than fifteen years ago, when the need for a suitable health center for Sant Cugat, Rubí and Castellbisbal was raised. Since then, intensive work has been done to make this demand a reality.
Elena Vila, spokesperson for the Municipal Group of the PSC, has highlighted the importance of this agreement, describing it as a historical milestone. The party is committed to supporting the municipal government in whatever it takes to make the new hospital a reality as soon as possible.
Services and shared management
The new health center will offer a wide range of services, including outpatient major surgery, minor surgery, day hospitalization, urgent care and radiological tests.
The Department of Health has indicated that the management of this new hospital will be shared between MútuaTerrassa and the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa, two recognized health providers in the area.
Involvement in the well-being of the community
The PSC of Sant Cugat reiterates its commitment to improving the health conditions of citizens. This new infrastructure is an important step in this direction and will contribute to meeting the needs of the local population.
