The red day: the great festival of the Red Devils
This party is just the beginning of a very special year for the Red Devils, who next May 25 will celebrate their big day: red day. It is a day full of activities for all audiences, which will take place in Torreblanca Park. In the morning, the little ones will be able to take part in various workshops, a parade with children’s gangs and the representation of the tale of the bicorn. At noon, there will be a popular lunch, where you can taste the typical dishes of the local cuisine. In the afternoon, percussion lovers will be able to demonstrate their talent in a competition, and those who want to test their skills can take part in a scepter competition, where there will be organizations from all over the territory. At night, the main dish will be the concerts, with performances that will delight the people of Sant Feliu.
35 years of history and commitment to the city
Els Diables Rojos were born in 1989 and since then they have grown to have more than 200 members and all the complete sections: timpani players and children’s and adult devils, not forgetting the Bicron and the Bicornet. After many years of intense activity, Guillem Porres, member of the team of gang leaders, explains that his goal for the next few years is to continue making new trips and reach the most important hotspots in Catalonia. But at the same time, they also want to maintain their role in revitalizing the social fabric of Sant Feliu. According to Porres, “the will of the Red Devils has always been to bring things to the municipality and its people”. For this reason, a year ago they decided to install their new headquarters in the Casino, “to collaborate with the centenary entity and give it more life”.
