Promoting female entrepreneurship in rural areas

The Association of Business Women of the province of Cuenca (AMEP) will hold a day dedicated to female empowerment, sustainable development and the fight against depopulation in La Frontera next Tuesday, February 20.

In collaboration with the regional government, AMEP seeks to provide the necessary information to start or strengthen businesses in rural and unpopulated areas. A series of talks have been prepared to present the tools available from both CEOE-Cepyme Cuenca and the regional administration, with the aim of supporting women’s entrepreneurship in these communities.

Program of the day

The day will begin at 6:30 p.m. and those interested can register in advance at the headquarters of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Cuenca, at 34 Hermanos Becerril Street, by email at info@ceoecucenca.org or by calling 969 21 33 15.

During the event, the president of AMEP, Marta Peñuelas, will address the topic ‘The role of CEOE-Cepyme Cuenca in the SSPA Network’. Subsequently, the provincial delegate for the Demographic Challenge of the Regional Government in Cuenca, Virgilio Antón, will present the ‘Benefits of Law 2/2021 against depopulation and for the Development of the Rural Environment of Castilla-La Mancha’, followed by the presentation on ‘Aid and subsidies in rural areas’ by Rodrigo Fernández Alcalde, provincial delegate of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development in Cuenca.

This day has been organized by the Association of Business Women of Cuenca, CEOE-Cepyme Cuenca and the SSPA Network, with the collaboration of the delegation of the Community Board in Cuenca and the La Frontera City Council.
