The IBEX 35 and Market Trends

This Tuesday’s session saw the IBEX 35 start with an increase of 0.29%, standing at 10,355.6 points. This day is marked by the publication of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the United States corresponding to the month of February.

On the macroeconomic front, the Spanish Treasury plans to place between 1.5 billion and 2.5 billion euros in an auction of three- and nine-month bills. In addition, the CPI of Germany and the evolution of employment in the Eurozone will be revealed.

Business Movements and Trends

Investors are keeping an eye on Grifols after the presentation of accounts audited by KPMG. Purchases of shares in the hemoderivative company by its executive directors and managers have been revealed, while bearish investors continue to make moves in the Spanish firm.

In the early hours of this session, the most notable gains within the IBEX 35 are in Grifols, Acciona Energía, ArcelorMittal and IAG, while the most significant declines are in Solaria and Colonial.

European Stock Exchanges and Currency Market

The main European Stock Exchanges open this Tuesday with gains, with London, Paris, Milan and Frankfurt recording increases. On the foreign exchange market, the price of a barrel of Brent crude oil is rising, while Texas remains on the rise.

The exchange rate of the euro against the dollar is advancing, while in the debt market the interest required on the 10-year Spanish bond is climbing.
