The celebration of Sant Llorenç during Holy Week

Religious events

The parish of Sant Llorenç is preparing to live with intensity the coming Holy Week. The rituals and ceremonies will begin next Sunday, March 24, with the traditional blessing of Rams in Plaça de la Vila at 12 noon.

Featured Ceremonies

One of the relevant moments will be the Crismal Mass, which will take place on Wednesday 27 at 11 am in the majestic Cathedral of Sant Llorenç. On Holy Thursday, the faithful will participate in the Eucharist of the Lord’s Supper at 7 pm in the same Cathedral.

On Friday, the celebration of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ will transfer the religious spirit: at 6 pm in the Cathedral and then, at 8 pm, a Stations of the Cross in Plaça de la Vila.

Moments culminants

The Easter Vigil, one of the most emotional events, will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 pm in the Cathedral of Sant Llorenç. On Easter Sunday, two Eucharists will be held, one at noon and the other at 7 p.m., and on Easter Monday there will be another at 11 a.m.

Later activities

Once Holy Week is over, on Sunday April 7, the community will gather at the Cathedral to celebrate the parish Easter gathering, with a mass at 12 noon. This will be an opportunity to meet again and enjoy the traditional sweets of Sant Llorenç beach.
