A comprehensive approach to city building

The latest evaluation, focused on social areas, civics and participation, took place in Vic, where the mayor, Josep Maria Vila d’Abadal, will lead the review this Wednesday afternoon.

The third thematic session of the governing team of Vic City Council focused on key issues such as social affairs, citizenship, civility and participation, as well as general services.

Outstanding municipal officials in the review

During the session, Gràcia Ferrer, Joan López and Josep Rafús led the discussions on their respective areas of intervention.

Gràcia Ferrer highlighted the importance of transversality in the management of social affairs and citizen participation, highlighting initiatives such as the expansion of the Women’s Point and actions in health and drug prevention.

Joan López highlighted the social commitment of the area in the prevention of exclusion and job training, underlining the positive impact of the social fabric in the community.

Josep Rafús asked for citizen collaboration to promote participation in the different municipal areas, with a special emphasis on citizenship initiatives and community mediation.

Commitment to training and employment

Toni Serrat presented the training and employment actions through programs such as the Escola Taller and the Employment Workshop, highlighting the benefits for the city.

Serrat emphasized the importance of citizen involvement in urban improvements, such as the citizen’s mailbox, and the modernization of the Citizen Service.

The commitment to more sustainable urban transport and the improvement in the management of public services were other key issues addressed during the municipal review.
