The club does not rule out incorporating more reinforcements if opportunities arise
Villarreal remains open to the possibility of reinforcing its squad in the current transfer period, despite having already signed three players in the winter market, as indicated this Wednesday by the club’s CEO, Fernando Roig Negueroles.
In the official presentation of the Colombian defender Yerson Mosquera and the Portuguese forward Gonçalo Guedes as new members of Villarreal, Roig Negueroles stated that “what we want now is for the new players to add, for the injured to recover and for the team to improve its current sporting performance From there, if there is any market opportunity, we will analyze it,” he said.
No door closes
The head of the yellow club assured that “it is not ruled out that someone else could arrive”, but clarified that “it has to be someone who contributes more than what we have” and that if that option is given, we will try to make it happen. “Until the market closes, there is room,” he added.
Three top-level signings
In addition to Mosquera and Guedes, Villarreal acquired Ivorian defender Eric Bailly at the beginning of the transfer market, who has already played with the team coached by Marcelino García Toral.
