Embutidos Luis and its commitment to sustainability

The Rioja company Embutidos Luis Gil has participated in the Alimentaria fair, where it has presented its innovative sustainable packaging. This packaging reduces the use of plastic by 80%, demonstrating the company’s commitment to the environment and waste reduction.

Quality organic products

Embutidos Luis Gil is known for being one of the few Spanish meat companies that produces its products from its own organic livestock. Their Duroc pigs are free-range at ‘El Encinar’, an organic farm in the Ocón Valley (La Rioja). These pigs feed on a diet composed of acorns, plants and roots of the oak forest, as well as organic feed made on the farm itself. This care in food and the environment translates into high quality products and exceptional flavor.

Recognitions and awards

Embutidos Luis Gil’s commitment to sustainability and quality has been recognized with the national ‘Biosphere Reserve’ award in the ‘Social and Sustainable Economic Development’ category. This award, awarded by the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, highlights the company’s environmental commitment and its contribution to the Millennium Sustainable Development Goals.

Sustainable packaging for a better future

The sustainable packaging presented by Embutidos Luis in Alimentaria is an example of its commitment to reducing waste and protecting the environment. By reducing the use of plastic by 80%, the company demonstrates its concern for sustainability and its contribution to a better future.
