Innovations in public cleaning for a cleaner 2025
The City Council, in collaboration with FCC MA, has launched a plan to redistribute cleaning tasks to improve the efficiency of available resources. The Minister for Public Cleaning, Sonia Orts, explained that this initiative responds to the need to deal with the current situation without the possibility of expanding services.
Strategies adapted to local needs
The actions include a change in the operation of the cleaning machines, which now operate with a combination of pressurized water and manual labor. This technique allows for a more precise approach to specific dirt problems in the city, significantly improving the final results.
The use of advanced technology
One of the most notable changes is the incorporation of three machines that previously only rinsed sidewalks. Now, these machines work more effectively with the help of workers who handle pressurized water hoses and perform manual cleaning, removing waste such as leaves and debris.
Tank trucks and versatile vehicles: a comprehensive solution
To complement the machines, three tanker trucks equipped with pressurized water jets have been incorporated, which are concentrated in the areas with the greatest accumulation of dirt. In addition, a small vehicle designed to access narrow streets helps clean those areas that are difficult to access.
A new approach to manual cleaning
Minister Orts highlights that this new system combines manual and mechanical work, which results in a deeper and more effective cleaning. Old machines, when working alone, do not provide the desired results, but with manual intervention, the quality of the service improves significantly.
Innovative products for more efficient cleaning
For cleaning pigeon droppings, a new product specifically designed to descale and remove debris has been incorporated, thus contributing to greater cleaning efficiency. The operators also make sure to mark the cleaned areas to avoid accidents to pedestrians.
A commitment to quality and safety
With these new measures, the City Council and FCC MA seek not only to improve cleaning, but also to address any incidents that may arise during the process. Thus, the areas most affected by dirt are prioritized, guaranteeing a more pleasant environment for all citizens.
