The discovery of the German turret in Pertús

The Alt Empordà Gas Mountain Hiking Group has found a Nazi tank turret from the Second World War in Pertús, keeping its location a secret to avoid damage.

This vestige is considered a significant piece, known as a Panzerstellung, adapted for the use of the MG 34 gun, being key to understanding the historical events of the region during the world conflict.

This discovery is the second of its kind in the region, after the Portbou turret, highlighting its relevance and value in the preservation of local history.
