Princess Leonor completes her first year of military training

A Decisive Step Towards Succession to the Throne

About to receive her decoration next July 3 alongside her colleagues, Princess Leonor has concluded her first year of military training with the Land Army in Zaragoza. Following in the footsteps of her father, King Felipe VI, in her career as the future Queen of Spain, she will complete this course with a distinction from the Land Army. Later, he will move to Pontevedra to continue his training with the Navy. Before starting this new stage, he will enjoy a well-deserved vacation in Zarzuela and Marivent, in addition to fulfilling his institutional commitments.

A Promising Future

The Royal House has been subject to constant scrutiny, especially due to the controversies surrounding Joan Charles I, which has generated discomfort and reluctance among citizens. It was thought that with Felipe VI the monarchy in Spain would come to an end. However, thanks to Leonor’s good performance, it seems that the institution is assured of its continuity for a long period. The princess is destined to inherit the throne in the distant future, as she must first complete her military training, university studies, obtain a master’s degree and raise a family, something considered essential to succession to the throne according to traditions ancient

Recognition and Challenges

Leonor has managed to win the affection of the citizens, becoming the most loved figure of the Spanish monarchy according to surveys. She is closely followed by her sister, the Infanta Sofia, and by her father, Felipe VI. Citizens demand significant change in the Royal House, moving away from the legacy of the Bourbons. The emeritus, Juan Carlos I, is the least popular, while Queen Sofia is in a similar position to Queen Letícia. The military environment is very satisfied with Leonor’s presence and performance. Although she is evaluated differently from her peers and receives the highest decoration regardless of her grades, this does not negatively affect the other cadets. In fact, his medal is considered well-deserved, as he has proven to be one of the best in his class, surpassing even the grades achieved by Philip VI in all academic subjects. However, the physical tests represent a challenge for her, although she has shown great effort and dedication in her preparation, making this year the most difficult of her career.
