A Special Celebration
On our anniversary, Carles and I decided to celebrate in a different way than usual. We wanted to break the routine of going out to dinner, which is something we love, but do often.
So, instead of opting for the ordinary, I decided to surprise him with an unusual gift: a day together at PortAventura World. I thought it would be the perfect occasion, since Carles had never had the opportunity to visit the amusement park, and although I had not been there for a while, I was excited to go back and enjoy exciting experiences such as going up Shambhala, the Dragon Khan, the Furius Baco and the Hurakan Condor.
The Shambhala Challenge
One of the things that intrigued me the most was whether Carles would be as brave as he claimed. I had told him about the impressive drop and speed of Shambhala, to which he responded with disdain, saying that it did not impress him at all. I was anxious to see if he would maintain that attitude once he was in front of the imposing attraction.
Early in the morning, we depart by train to Tarragona from Sants station. We opted for the train and admission package, which was convenient and left us close to the park. The train ride was lovely, and between laughter and affection, we arrived at PortAventura World under a radiant sun.
Exciting Attractions
From the beginning, we let ourselves be carried away by emotion. The first attraction we found was the Furius Baco, which offered us an adrenaline rush with its impressive acceleration. We continued exploring and immersed ourselves in the rich setting of the Polynesia area, which especially captivated Carles due to his exquisite attention to detail.
Since we couldn’t enjoy all the attractions in a single day, we chose to experience two of the most striking in Polynesia: the Tutuki Splash and the Kontiki. The first gave us fun and freshness, while the second challenged our perception with its unexpected movements.
Afterwards, we ventured to China and shared a cold beer, which revitalized our spirits. Finally, we faced the challenging Shambhala, and Carles showed bravery by overcoming his initial nerves to enjoy the unique experience.
Continuous Fun
After enjoying a delicious meal at the Bora Bora Restaurant, we relaxed with a show on Polynesia Beach. This change of pace prepared us to explore the Far West area, where we embarked on the exciting experience of ‘Uncharted: The Riddle of Penitence’ and let ourselves be carried away by the aquatic currents in the Grand Canyon Rapids.
Although time escaped us, we enjoyed a walk through Mexico and multiple tours on El Tren de la Mina. Although we still had attractions to discover, the adventure at PortAventura World left us with unforgettable memories and the promise of returning.
If you are looking for a creative way to test your partner, I encourage you to consider PortAventura World. You will experience incredible emotions and create lasting memories!
