A Festival Full of Lives and Stories
This year, the literary festival of La Cerdanya is preparing to open its doors at Safareig de Das, with a vibrant program that promises to combine theater and literary conversations in a welcoming atmosphere, as long as weather conditions allow.
Eva Baltasar: New Literary Perspectives
Among the prominent names, Eva Baltasar will present her latest work, ‘Ocàs i fascinació’ (Club Editor), a novel that marks a new path in her career after completing the trilogy composed of ‘Permagel’, ‘Boulder’ and ‘Mammoth’.
A Deep Look at Precarity
Through a poetic and psychological narrative, Baltasar introduces us to the life of a woman who is forced to face extreme precariousness, forced to work as a maid, although her inner freedom remains intact
Conversations that Reveal Realities
The festival will feature a dialogue between Baltasar and Bernat Puigtobella, publisher of Núvol and director of the event, in addition to the participation of Júlia Bacardit, who will share her work ‘El Raval a deshora’ (Edicions del Núvol).
Exploring the Raval of Barcelona
Bacardit offers us an intimate chronicle of the Raval, a neighborhood with a rich cultural diversity that is often misinterpreted. His narrative reveals stories of marginality and hope, as well as the complexity of an environment that many Barcelona residents prefer to ignore.
A Literary Excursion in La Cerdanya
Bernat Romaní will also join the festival to present ‘Temps de frontera’ (Bambú), a youth novel set in La Cerdanya that combines elements of science, landscape and civil memory. Attendees will be able to live a unique experience with a scheduled excursion that will follow in the footsteps of the protagonists.
Theater and Tradition: ‘Maria Rosa’
In addition to the literary presentations, the festival will include the theater show ‘Maria Rosa’, an adaptation of Guimerà’s classic that promises to captivate the public with an intimate and intense interpretation by Amelie Produccions.
A Revived Classic
With only three actors, the production explores the most dramatic moments of the play, with Anna Fortuny as Maria Rosa, Roser Martínez as Tomasa and Josep Maria Piñol as Quirze, offering a renewed vision of Guimerà’s social drama in one year so significant
