A day of unity and learning
Yesterday, La Seu d’Urgell became the meeting point for about sixty students from various training and insertion programs (PFI) of the Alt Pirineu i Aran. Organized by the Department of Professional Education and Training, this first meeting brought together participants from the work transition plans (PTT) in the area, who have been working on the project ‘The values of sport in the PFI’.
An inspirational welcome
Students, accompanied by a group of teachers, were welcomed at the Segre Olympic Park by local authorities, including the Councilor for Education, Christina Moreno, who emphasized the importance of this event to empower the local community. Moreno stated that the collaboration between different PFIs is a reflection of the youth talent and a response to the needs of the mountain villages.
A day full of activities
The day was marked by dynamic activities such as rafting and climbing, which took place in the Olympic facilities of Parc del Segre. The participants also had the opportunity to discover the rich history of La Seu d’Urgell with a guided tour of the Ermengol-Museum space in the city.
Promoting values through sport
The project ‘The values of sport in the PFI’ implies several educational centers, including the Joan Brudieu Institute of La Seu d’Urgell and the Institute of Ostalanda de Les-Val d’Aran, among others. Each center has contributed to the project with training in various areas, such as forestry activities and customer service, fostering values such as integrity and social cohesion.
Collaboration and institutional support
This initiative, a pioneer in the region, is the result of the collaboration between the Directorate General of Vocational Training and the Educational Services of the Alt Pirineu i Aran, with the support of the City Council of La Seu d’Urgell and other local institutions. Through various activities and the study of sporting references, students have worked to internalize values that promote their personal and social growth.
A promising future
With this first encounter, the potential of union and growth offered by sport in the training of young people is highlighted. The commitment to the values of sport not only enriches the educational experience, but also prepares students to face the challenges of the future with a collaborative and positive mentality.
