The well -known mountaineers Iker and Eneko Pou have marked the beginning of the 2025 Mountain Cycle with an innovative presentation called ‘The Challenge of the Four Elements’. This conference, which was held this Thursday, has captivated the attention of the fans of climbing and adventure.
A trip by four continents
During his speech, the brothers shared details on their ambitious project ‘The Four Elements’, a journey that will take them through impressive landscapes, from Patagonia to Amazon, through the volcano of Sao Tomé and Prince and culminating in the Himalayas. With more than 70 explored countries and 3 million vertical meters climbed, the wells have shown to be pioneers in the world of mountaineering.

The cycle was inaugurated by the Deputy for Social and Cultural Promotion, Óscar Sánchez, who emphasized the relevance of this annual event in both the cultural and sports landscape. Until April 3, every Thursday at 7 pm, the Diputació Auditorium will be the scene of documentaries and conferences with prominent mountaineers. This edition, entitled ‘Encís, Exploration and Dreams’, promises to offer a rich and varied program, with sessions that will also take place in municipalities such as La Bisbal del Penedès, Reus, Montblanc and Tortosa.

With the aim of reaching a wider audience, the mountain cycle has pledged to project content in several municipalities. This includes the screening of the documentary ‘Pasang: in the Shadow of Everest’ in various localities, an important step in making mountaineering accessible to more people.
