A New Horizon: The Voice of Citizenship as a Solution to the Current Crisis

The Crisis We Face: A Complex Context

The country is immersed in a critical situation, which began as a political crisis stemming from the actions of the parties, but which has now spread to the entire institutional structure. This dynamic has fostered an environment of division and conflict, where inclusion and social cohesion are increasingly scarce. The consequence is an uncertain future that threatens us with widespread impoverishment.

A Civic Conference as a Catalyst for Change

Faced with this reality, the first civic conference of political action proposes an innovative approach: instead of focusing on competition between parties, it seeks to channel the voice of civil society. This initiative aims to address the needs of citizens with a reflective and collective discourse, without the limitations of partisan slogans.

A First Step Towards a New Direction

The conference is not an isolated event, but the beginning of a path towards greater citizen participation. It is scheduled for the morning of Saturday, December 14 and will include discussion groups that will address relevant topics such as demography, immigration and the family, among others.

Key Issues in the Dialogue

The Polycrisis: A Multidimensional Phenomenon

One of the discussion groups, moderated by Javier Mirallas, will focus on the notion of polycrisis, which implies the coexistence of several interrelated crises. The causes of this situation can be summarized as: the disintegration of common values, the increase in individualism, distrust of institutions, moral relativism, and rampant consumerism.

The West: In Decline?

Joan Josep Folchi will moderate a debate that will highlight the concern about the possible decline of Western values. Contemporary works that criticize cultural stagnation, the disconnection between the elites and the masses, and the need to recover moral resources from past times will be analyzed.

Priorities for Public Policies

Carlos Losada will moderate a discussion on the public policies we need. It will be argued that the current government is not acting for the common good, and that political parties have failed in their responsibility, becoming instruments of the partitocracy. New priorities must be defined that reflect the principles of Western civilization.

How to Participate in the Conference

If you are interested in being part of this initiative, we invite you to join us on Saturday, December 14 at 9:30 a.m. at Universitat Abat Oliba, located at Carrer Bellesguard, 30, Barcelona. Access is easy and parking is available nearby.
