A New Way of Obtaining Cash: BBVA and Correus Establish an Innovative Agreement

An Innovative Opportunity for BBVA Customers

Banks, like other businesses, care about the well-being of customers. Their well-being is a priority, and from time to time, they introduce novelties and attractive strategies to attract new consumers and keep existing ones.

Recently, BBVA has launched a new method of obtaining cash. Until now, withdrawals were only allowed at ATMs or branch windows. However, the financial institution has now reached an agreement with the Post Office, opening up the possibility for customers to withdraw money in more than 2,000 offices spread across Spain.

An Innovative and Useful Measure

This innovative measure can be of great help to those people who live in municipalities with few ATMs. In addition, the process can be carried out from the mobile phone, and it will only be necessary to go to the office to collect the money. In addition, there is the possibility of requesting home delivery and having a Post Office worker deliver the money to your home.

To withdraw money from Post Offices, BBVA customers must have the bank’s application installed and select the “Correos Cash” option. A QR code will be generated that you must present together with an identity document.

Convenient and with several options

In the case of home delivery, the money will be received within a maximum period of 3 days from the request. Correus will send an SMS to inform you on the same day that the money arrives at home. If you are not there at the time of shipment, you can pick them up the next day at any office.

Before choosing one of the processes, customers must select the account from which the money will be withdrawn and the desired amount. It should be noted that BBVA applies a small commission for both services. If the withdrawal is requested at a Post Office, a commission of 1.56 euros will be charged, and for the home service the amount rises to 6.60 euros.

Commissions and Alternatives

In addition, BBVA has informed that customers will also have to pay a commission of 2.70 euros if they withdraw money from an ATM of another bank.

These new options, derived from the agreement between BBVA and Correus, are very interesting. Despite the additional fees, they represent great alternatives for people who do not have cashiers nearby and citizens with mobility problems.
