A student from Castellnou de Bages, best grade in all of Catalonia at PAU

Pau Palomar, the best grade in the PAUs in Catalonia

Pau Palomar Oliver, a student from Castellnou de Bages and alumnus of the Institut d’Auro de Santpedor, has obtained the best grade in the University Entrance Test (PAU), with a 9.9 in the general phase. This score is shared with another student from Sant Cugat del Vallès who completed high school at the Institut Forat del Vent de Cerdanyola del Vallès. With this qualification, Pau Palomar has achieved the best grade in this year’s selection process.

Outstanding results in the other demarcations

The best rating in the demarcation of Barcelona is also the best in all of Catalonia. In Tarragona, two students obtained a 9.8, one from the Torredembarra Institute and another from Escola Pare Manyanet in Reus. In Girona, two students from Salt and Girona who study at La Salle Girona have obtained the best grade. In Lleida, the best qualification is from a student at the Samuel Gili i Gaya Institute.

Data on distinguished students

This year, 914 students (538 girls and 376 boys) will receive the distinction given by the Government to students with a grade equal to or higher than 9 in the general phase of the PAU.
