Collaboration for a special evening
The delegation of the Generalitat de Catalunya in Andorra, together with the Government of Andorra, has launched a poetic and musical event to commemorate Sant Jordi. The appointment, scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 8 pm, will take place at the Communal Theater in Andorra la Vella.
Poetry Premis I Music in Direction
During this special night, the prizes of the 28th Miquel Martí i Pol Poetry Contest will be presented, which has the support of the Government of Andorra and the Comú of Andorra la Vella. The evening will be characterized by the fusion of the music of the renowned Catalan singer -songwriter Roger Mas with the lyric of the Andorran poetess Teresa Colom.
Local gastronomy with complement
In addition, attendees will enjoy a tasting of local products, with sausages from the Pyrenees, thanks to the collaboration with the artisanal producer Jordi Planes de Cal Jordi de Ransol. This gastronomic exhibition will begin at 7 pm at Casal Calones, one hour before the concert.
A symbolic act of germanor
It is important to emphasize that this will be the first joint event between the delegation of the Generalitat and the Government of Andorra. Anna Vives, delegate of the Generalitat, said that ‘our relationship with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has allowed to create a significant act on such emblematic date for both nations as Sant Jordi’.
Cultural Periphery: Promotion of Catalan Identity
This activity will mark the beginning of the cultural periphery cycle in Andorra, an initiative aimed at strengthening the links between the outlying areas of the Catalan -speaking territories, with a strong approach to culture and gastronomy. In its fourth edition, the cycle will culminate with an inauguration on May 31 in the castle of Mur, in Pallars Jussà.
