The Reus Promotion Agency has organized an extraordinary event to be held in the heart of Madrid on April 18. The aim of this initiative is to show the city as the Capital of Vermouth since 1892, providing a unique experience for all attendees.

An exclusive program for vermouth culture enthusiasts

The event will take place at the Hotel Emperador, on Madrid’s Gran Via, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This schedule has been strategically selected to promote a new way of enjoying vermouth, creating an ideal atmosphere for the ‘tardeo.’ The evening will begin with a warm welcome to attendees, followed by a cocktail tasting with Vermut Rosé and a thematic ‘photocall’, in addition to an exhibition of Reus Vermut brands and promotional material from the city.

A day in honor of Reus and Vermouth

The mayor of Reus, Sandra Guaita, and the councilor for City Planning, Noemí Llauradó, will participate in the event to present the city and give way to the conference entitled ‘Reus, capital of Vermouth’, by the sommelier specialized in vermouth, Marc Niubó. At 7.30pm, cocktail barista Raquel Espolio will demonstrate cocktails with Reus Vermouth, sharing her knowledge of the two varieties. After the demonstration, networking and interconnection between attendees will be promoted, encouraging visits to Reus.

An exclusive opportunity to influence

The event foresees the attendance of representatives of the restaurant sector in Madrid, major hotel chains, tourism professionals, media and prominent influencers. All attendees will receive a welcome package with products from Reus, such as DOP Siurana oil, DOP Reus hazelnuts, Vermouth de Reus and promotional material to discover and visit the city. In addition, the new design of the Vermut de Reus label will be presented, bringing it closer to the ‘GaudíReus’ city brand to give it greater personality and modernity.

An initiative that enhances the presence of Reus as the capital of vermouth

This event is added to other promotional activities such as the presence in fairs and gastronomic competitions, in line with the objectives of the Strategic Plan of Reus Promotion to strengthen the position of Reus as the capital of vermouth and promote the Vermut de Reus brand among a professional public of the gastronomic sector.
