A festival full of life and creativity
The FineArt Igualada Photography Festival fills the exhibition halls with a wide range of activities that will take place between February 21 and March 16. This artistic event, which stands out for its dynamic program, offers attendees the opportunity to participate in guided visits with photographers, special talks and commemorative events to celebrate the 15 years of Rec.0.
A triumphant start
The first week of the festival has exceeded expectations, with a massive influx of visitors who enjoyed the different exhibitions. The inauguration, carried out on Friday, was followed by two days of intense activities, including guided tours and a photo -book market that has captivated the attention of photography lovers.
Celebrating the 15 years of Rec.0
On Friday, February 28, at 7.30 pm, the Capelleta will host a visit to the collective exhibition “2009-2024, 15 years of Rec.0”. Participating photographers will be present to share their works, while DJ Brown will entertain the event with music and attendees will be able to toast with wine or cava.
Interactive activities and guided tours
On Saturday, March 1, it promises to be a dynamic day with start at 12 noon in the municipal urban orchards. The commented visit “The ignorant gardener” by Yurian Quintanas will kick off, followed by experiences shared by users of the orchards, culminating in a vermouth for all participants.
Visual impact and reflection
In the afternoon, at 6 pm, the slaughterhouse will host the photojournalist Pablo Tosco, who will guide the attendees through his exhibition “An Offercido Gesto”. This will be accompanied by a fascinating talk at 8 pm at the Bella tannery, where Arnau Soler and Aina Rossinyol (Otus Wildlife Tours) will explore Nature photography in Varanger and Kuusamo.
Closure and reflection
The festival is not only an opportunity to enjoy photography, but also a space for the interaction and creation of links. On Sunday, March 2 at 12 noon, in the Cal Boyer – Museum of the Pell – Cultural Space, Jordi Guillumet and Mònica Roselló will share their creative process through their exhibition “De de Pedra”.
