ADEIN Tenerife receives the powerful Vital Zuzenak Foundation

ADEIN Tenerife faces an important challenge

The ADEIN Tenerife Santa Cruz Fundación CB Canarias faces this Saturday the third match of the second round, first at home in this phase of the First Division of wheelchair basketball, hosting the Vital Zuzenak Foundation. The event corresponds to the twelfth day and will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Sergio Rodríguez Pavilion.

The challenge of ADEIN Tenerife

The team prepared by Javier Martínez will seek the sixth victory of the season, first of the second round, which has eluded them in the previous two rounds, where they suffered defeats in Gran Canaria and Ferrol.

ADEIN Tenerife’s rival

Their rival has just come close to doing something that no one has achieved this season: beating the leader Sureste Gran Canaria. The Vitorians lost 46-47 in a match played on the eleventh day. Vital Zuzenak Foundation, second with eight wins in ten games, is practically guaranteed to participate in the promotion phase.

The challenge for ADEIN Tenerife

ADEIN fell to this team in the first round. Beating him now appears to be a rather complicated task and one that undoubtedly involves solving the imbalances detected in the previous days. The representative has been able to stand up to his rival in the last two rounds of the championship, but after the break he had problems maintaining the pace.

The importance of defense for ADEIN Tenerife

Adjusting the defense is another issue that worries the Aurinegra ranks. Improving in this aspect of the game becomes key if the chicharreros want to remain in privileged positions. ADEIN is fourth, but already equal in victories with Ferrol, which is fifth.

The support of the fans

The role of the local fans will once again be key to preventing victory from flying away from the Sergio Rodríguez Pavilion. It means that Javier Martínez’s team has moved forward in all its home games except for the opening match of the championship against Southeast. The local fans are therefore confident of seeing their team win again, making the chemistry that the team has with the stands count. This weekend will also be the reunion of the team and fans, since the representative has not played at home since mid-January, when they received Vistazul from Seville.

The decisive phase of the championship

This Saturday will be the first of two home games for ADEIN, since on March 9, Puertollano, another team they lost to in the first round, visits the island. It is obvious therefore that we are experiencing the decisive phase of the championship. We enter the last two months of competition, with everything to be decided.

The referees designated for the match

The referees designated for the match on March 2 are Martín Hernández, A. Cotiñas Sánchez and N.M. Cotiñas Sánchez.
