A reference event in the world of fashion
From May 19 to May 23, Alcoy will host its third week of fashion, an event that promises to transform the city into a true epicenter of creativity and design. With the participation of prominent figures such as Leandro Cano and Oteyza, as well as emerging talents such as Maria Llinares, this edition is expected to be a key moment for the fashion industry.
An image that celebrates creativity
The illustration that this year represents the event is the work of Scholarship Jover, a local artist. His work, rich in colors, encapsulates the fusion between fashion, sustainability and the textile traditions of Alcoy. Jover said that “the foundations of fashion design, sustainability and the textile history of our territory have been my source of inspiration”.
Promoting innovation and circular economy
Erum and Aitex, those responsible for the coordination of this consolidated event, emphasized the importance of promoting innovation and circular economy. Alcoy Fashion Week seeks to be a catalyst for change, where the region’s textile roots merge with modern entrepreneurship and current creativity.
Activities for all audiences
Fashion week will not only be limited to walkways. During these seven days, various activities will be organized that will make the fashion accessible to everyone. One of the highlights will be the shopping center, which will host an exhibition of the finalist works of the Ande Awards for the best young designer of the Valencian Community.
Shows and talks with professionals in the sector
Attendees will also enjoy talks and shows with the presence of important figures from the fashion world, such as the designer Leandro Cano and Oteyza and the journalist Jesús María Montes-Fernández. In addition, emerging talents such as Maria Llinares and consolidated professionals such as Paula Luján López will share their experiences on the combination between tradition and innovation in the sector.
The culminating moment: the final parade
The highlight of the Fashion Week will be the parade scheduled for May 23, which will take place in the new facilities of the Technology Park of Rodes, in collaboration with Ande. In this event, the best young designer of the Valencian Community will be selected, who will have the opportunity to represent the region in a national competition.
