Alert to Peramola: Critics of municipal and regional management

Complaint of irregularities to the City Council

A group of opposition councilors in Peramola, located in Alt Urgell, has raised the voice to expose possible irregularities that surround the administrative and urban management of the municipality. According to its version, a poorly transparent operating system has been detected that could be extended to other villages in the region.

Files in the spotlight

In the heart of the allegations there are two significant files, managed between 2018 and 2020. One of them refers to the creation of a poultry farm promoted by a local government member, while the other is related to the disaffection of a public path, driven by the mayor’s brother. The complainants say that these actions ignored the allegations presented on affected public roads and were supported by technical reports of the municipal architect, which raises doubts about the impartiality of the processes.

Ignored warnings

In addition, it is emphasized that both the City Council and the Court of Peace, who share the secretariat, had been warned in 2018 on the inappropriate privatization of public roads. Lack of information on these warnings in current files opens the door to speculations on a possible prevarication.

Critics of the County Council

The situation in Peramola is not an isolated case, as the management of the Alt Urgell County Council, under the chairmanship of Josefina Lladós, has also been questioned. Opponents argue that this body has allowed unclear and arbitrary management to be installed, affecting public responsibility and the trust of citizens.

The case of Montserrat Pagès Llop

The critic is especially focused on the figure of Montserrat Pagès Llop, secretary of the Council, who exercised for years in a temporary way before passing the official tests in 2017. This situation has generated questions about its legitimacy in its functions as a public.

Calls to improve institutional control

The socialist group of the municipality has requested an immediate review of the supervision system at the regional level. Its proposal seeks to ensure that the values of legality, transparency and good governance are applied, not only to the great localities, but also to the small municipalities that deserve fair management.
